Efficient and effective Company Secretariats
We carried out a bespoke Performance, Productivity and Efficiency audit across the whole team, to assess the organisational structure, software and team dynamics. We identified, across long-standing and disparate roles, each team member’s skillset, style in which they chose to work and whether the tasks they were doing were what they should have been doing, based on their job description.
Our work involved;
· Benchmark the quality of the existing team;
· Assessing whether the organisation was getting value for money from the secretariat team;
· Reviewing pay and incentives against market rate and whether or not they were competitive;
· Completed a training needs analysis for the entire team, identifying gaps and upskilling where necessary;
· Looked at a strategic review of the secretariat team, which lead to a performance, productivity and efficiency audit
of the CoSec team.
The organisations’ ultimate goal was to work smarter and introduce appropriate technology and automate processes. Time saved would be reallocated to raising the team’s profile internally and bringing more value and insights to their board and internal stakeholders.
From working with us our client was able to;
· Reduce the cost of running the department and optimise their existing resources;
· Agree with the team their new vision, purpose and strategy;
· Drive behaviour changes in the team, bringing everyone on the “journey”, so that everyone was excited to implement the new ways of working;
· Set clear plans for raising the team’s profile and driving their strategy;
· Boost the team spirit and motivate them to achieve their goals.
The Performance, Productivity and Efficiency Audit for the CoSec team reviewed areas such as their skills, team dynamics and culture, as well as the team’s ways of working. This Audit identified recommendations in over 30 areas and involved a mix of observations, meetings, calls and emails.
