Managed, coordinated, and delivered, with the support of their in-house team, arguably the first FTSE 250 hybrid AGM in the wake of the covid-19 pandemic and ahead of any clear government guidance.
We understand the legal requirements, documentation and risk mitigation that allows for fully digital or hybrid AGMs to run effectively.
Our work involved;
· Project managing a hybrid AGM;
· Leading and motivating the Company Secretarial (CoSec) in-house team;
· Liaising with the Board of Directors to ensure that they were fully aware of the processes and procedures on the day, and;
· Working with the IT team for fully functional technology and software support.
From working with us our client was able to;
· Free up the senior internal CoSec team’s time so they could focus on other matters;
· Be provided with legal and regulatory updates on changes to conducting AGMs;
· 
Deliver a well-executed AGM online that exceeded expectations of both the internal directors and external stakeholders;
· Refine their AGM script to maintain audience attention while remaining legally compliant;
· Enhance their reputation through holding a live meeting (when a closed meeting due to the pandemic would have been acceptable);
· Facilitate questions from shareholders in advance of the AGM which were answered by the directors in real-time increasing shareholder trust.
