Prior to joining Beyond Governance, Anastasia worked in higher education assisting in the coordination of secretariat services for Court, Senate and their standing committees. She joined Phoenix Group in 2023 as a Senior Company Secretarial Assistant where she played a key role in supporting the governance of the Standard Life Master Trust Board. She was instrumental in developing robust governance procedures during the establishment of the subcommittees to the Trustee Board and contributed to company secretarial practices, including the submission of subsidiary statutory accounts and confirmation statements.
Anastasia holds Part-Qualified status with the Chartered Governance Institute (formerly ICSA), has earned a master’s in Public Policy and holds a PRINCE2 Foundation Certificate in Project Management. Previously, Anastasia has served as secretary to the Board of Trustees for the Association of Higher Education Professionals (previously AUA).
She is well versed in Diligent Board Books, Diligent Entities and Convene.
Anastasia provides comprehensive board and committee meeting support, managing all meeting processes, including agenda setting and maintenance of agenda forward planners, minuting and managing action logs. Anastasia is experienced in facilitating board and committee meetings, collating, distributing and reviewing meeting papers from different business functions, while ensuring that the necessary level of information is provided and at the correct format.
Having worked within different sectors and at varied levels of seniority, Anastasia can easily adapt to different organisations and implement varied governance and compliance frameworks. She is able to comprehend the wider business and regulatory context within which organisations operate, taking a proactive approach to stakeholder management and communication.
Anastasia has contributed to subsidiary governance processes liaising closely with internal stakeholders on delivery times, conducting due diligence on the information held in Companies House and ensuring that the relevant regulatory filings are completed on time.
Anastasia has contributed to ad hoc governance projects including the onboarding of incoming Non-Executive Directors and the planning and delivery of a comprehensive induction programme. She has led on quality improvements in relation to board documentation to align with the strategic priorities of board and committees and introduced online capabilities that facilitated collaboration and effective communication.
