As part of Lloyds Banking Group’s Group Secretariat, Roopah oversees statutory compliance for more than 200 subsidiary entities, ensuring accurate and timely filings with Companies House. She manages board governance processes, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and regulatory reporting, and coordinates director appointments and resignations in line with ECCTA requirements. Working closely with Finance and Audit teams, she facilitates board approval of subsidiary accounts and leads automation initiatives to streamline governance processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Prior to Lloyds, Roopah served as Company Secretary at Softgel Healthcare Private Limited in India, where she led corporate secretarial functions, ensured compliance with corporate law, and implemented governance improvements. She has also contributed to governance and stakeholder engagement within theUK health sector through her earlier work with the Local Involvement Network.
Dual-qualified as a Chartered Secretary (ACG) with The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland and a Company Secretary (ACS) with the Institute ofCompany Secretaries of India, Roopah brings a global perspective to governance delivery.
