The official The Sunday Times Best Places to Work, powered by WorkL, has been published, showcasing the Best Places to Work in the United Kingdom.

The Sunday Times, in partnership with WorkL, has announced that Beyond Governance has been recognised as a Best Place to Work in the United Kingdom in the Best small organisations to work for 2026 category.

The comprehensive list of winners recognises organisations with the highest levels of employee engagement, experience and wellbeing in the United Kingdom.

Erika Eliasson-Norris, CEO at Beyond Governance comments:

Being recognised as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026 is something I’m incredibly proud of.

As a governance business, we ask others to hold themselves to high standards. This recognition tells me we are doing the same, by building a culture where brilliant people feel valued, supported and able to do their best work.

Lord Mark Price, Founder of WorkL, comments: “I’m absolutely delighted for this year’s winners of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work, powered by WorkL. Many brilliant companies entered the Awards in the hopes of being recognised, so it’s a real achievement to have made the list. WorkL are proud to power these Awards and support organisations in retaining and recruiting the very best employees.”

About WorkL

Lord Mark Price launched WorkL, back in 2017, along with WorkL For Business which now helps over 1,000 businesses globally improve the happiness and engagement of their teams and has seen over 1.5 million individuals globally take the free Happy At Work Test which helps people determine how happy they are in their current job.

WorkL currently operates award programmes in the UK, Ireland, Australia, the USA, Kenya, Egypt, Luxembourg, South Africa, the Philippines, the UAE and India.

The test, featuring 31 questions, is centred around Lord Mark Price’s widely approved employee engagement theory: Six Steps to Workplace Happiness, which includes Reward & Recognition, both of which are integral to retaining and acquiring talent. Developed by behavioural scientists, data analysts, psychologists, business leaders, academics and other independent parties, the survey accurately monitors employee engagement and wellbeing in the workplace.

To achieve a high overall engagement score, a company must consistently perform well across its Sixtep framework, encompassing: Reward and Recognition, Instilling Pride, Information Sharing, Empowerment, Wellbeing and Job Satisfaction. Each of WorkL’s Six Steps consists of between three and five key elements, which are measured on a scale from 0-10.
