CEO of Beyond Governance

Erika has 15+ years of experience in Governance, having spent the majority of her career in FTSE listed Boardrooms. Highlights include Low & Bonar, Intercontinental Hotel Group, Premier Foods and KPMG.
Currently she is the Governance Advisor to the UK Government’s Public Inquiry into the Post Office Scandal, where she is advising on how failings amongst the Post Office and it’s numerous subsidiaries, could have been prevented.

With a career history in delivering integrated communications strategies and plans to alter perceptions, drive behavioural change, elevate influence and increase return on investment.  She is a strategic advisor as well as a respected senior operator alongside with considerable commercial and marketing experience.

Experience

In addition to Lisa’s board role at Beyond Governance, she also holds roles at Future-Fit Foundation and Target Ovarian Cancer. She has also worked for prestigious brands in senior management and leadership roles including Entain, Oxford University Press, Arla, Premier Foods, Mondi, SAB Miller, Marks and Spencer, Siemens, and the Financial Times.

Lisa operates at a NED and board trustee level and has been named one of the prestigious 100 ‘Women to Watch List’ 2017 by Cranfield University. She has also been awarded the Freeman on the City of London since 2006 for her services to the communications industry.

Briege Leahy

Non-Executive Director

A seasoned and adaptable senior executive leader with over two decades of experience in sales and entrepreneurship.  Having served as a sales director for two prominent companies, Briege co-founded a start-up technology logistics business, achieving impressive revenues of £3.5 million while collaborating with industry giants like Toshiba, Johnson Matthey, and Canon.  Her entrepreneurial journey also includes successfully managing the sale of the start-up.

In her most recent role as CEO of the Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce, Briege demonstrated exceptional leadership during the challenging times of COVID-19, steering the Chamber to surpass 1,000 members and achieve a remarkable 70% increase in turnover.  With a proven ability to drive business growth through strategic planning, foster high-performing teams, and build lasting relationships with key clients and stakeholders, Briege brings a wealth of expertise to our team.  Beyond her professional achievements, she actively engages in community activities, participates in educational forums, and continues to explore her passion for science and technology through studies with the Open University.
