Our client, a listed financial services company, asked us to support the work of their AGM and dividend programme. Whilst working with them on this we set up a registrar led asset reunification program (to reunify dormant shareholder assets, namely dividends and shares, with their shareholders).
Our advice and guidance in this process identified and unlocked £1.4m of uncashed dividends and shares for the company to reclaim. The Secretariat Team then surprised their CFO with a significant cash windfall pre-year-end which positively impacted staff bonuses.
The Group Company Secretary and CFO was pleased with the outcome as the cash refund was more than the team’s total annual budget and it was returned to them quickly given our extensive experience with these matters.
